This protected area, situated east of the East African Rift Valley in Nyandarua County, offers a haven for diverse wildlife amidst breathtaking landscapes.

Home to a rich tapestry of flora and fauna, the Aberdare National Park provides a habitat for a plethora of iconic species, including Elephants, Black Rhinos, Bongo, Leopards, and spotted Hyenas. The park’s verdant forests are alive with the chatter of olive baboons and black and white colobus monkeys, while the grasslands host herds of majestic buffalos, warthogs, and bushbucks.

Among the rarities found within its boundaries are the elusive Giant Forest hog,  golden cat, and serval cats, along with sightings of the African wild cat, African civet cat, and the diminutive blue duiker.
