The main Tembo Restaurant is a large, spherical structure at the lodge’s hilltop — its circular design giving 360-degree views across the park and savannah throughout every meal. Breakfast is served buffet-style from 7 am; lunch and dinner cover both international and Kenyan cuisines. Bush lunches and dinners in the park can be arranged at additional cost. Three bars — the main terrace bar, the poolside bar, and the Hyrax Bar for private functions — operate across the lodge’s different levels. Room service is available during limited hours. Vegetarian and other dietary requirements are accommodated on request.

Best Time to Visit
The best time to visit Voi Safari Lodge in Tsavo East is during the dry seasons from June to October and January to February, when the sparse vegetation makes it much easier to spot wildlife on the plains. Because the lodge is built high on a rocky hillside overlooking two permanent waterholes, these drier months provide a front-row seat from the terraces and the unique underground photo hide as massive herds of red-dusted elephants, buffaloes, and lions are forced to gather right below you to drink. Alternatively, the wet green seasons from November to December and March to May transform the vast savannah into a vibrant emerald landscape with dramatic skies for photography and spectacular migratory birdwatching, offering fewer crowds and lower accommodation rates, though the abundance of water allows animals to disperse away from the lodge’s waterholes.
